Movie Maker 3D makes it simple for everyone to create fun, realistic, animated movies and videos with 67 customizable templates containing 1-8 scenes, 631 easily animated 3D models, your own USDZ and GLB 3D models, built-in and custom avatars and more.

Get started by creating the project of your imagination by choosing a template. Add and customize scenes by adding and animating any of the included 3D models, your own USDZ and GLB 3D models and built-in and custom avatars. Add your own voice clips and face animations. Complete the design with colors, ground features, a different sky, background sounds and more. Easily add professional-looking scrolling end credits to your movie.

Tap the Record button to shoot, share and save a video of the scene. Combine your scene shots and videos into multi-shot movies for fun, work or school.

AR (iPhone and iPad only) provides an exciting way to see your scenes and shoot 3D movies and videos with super realistic backgrounds and lighting.

Movie Maker 3D models are organized into 23 searchable categories. All models can be animated and 96 have built-in animation clips. For example: Bear 25 clips, Bombardier Beetle 38 clips, Cheetah 19 clips, Horse 48 clips, Labrador Puppy 112 clips, Rat 15 clips, Stegosaurus 26 clips, Velociraptor 26 clips and Wolf 19 clips. All built-in avatars have 53 animation clips including dancing, clapping and waving.

Avatars

Movie Maker 3D directly integrates the Ready Player Me Avatar creator to enable making multiple avatars and customizing them with body shapes, choices of facial features, hair, clothing, eyewear, hats and more.

Add dozens of body animation clips from Movie Maker 3D and import them from other sources such as Ready Player Me and Mixamo.

Record your own voice and facial movements via AR (iPhone and iPad only).

Choose from different voices and accents, then use Text to Speech to have your avatar model speak in another voice

MOVIES AND VIDEOS

Easily make sharable movies and videos with your Movie Maker 3D scenes. Every 3D scene has a shots list where you can setup and Record a video. Simply tap Record to set up and record your shot. Tap Save if you want to keep it. Tap Cancel if you want to re-record it. All your saved scene videos will be saved to Stories where they will be organized by date.

Tap Preview Movie to make and preview a movie of all the shots in the current story. Choose your Movie Settings Titles, Dates, Locations, Captions, Text Blocks, Live Photo videos, Seconds per photo and Movie Music. Choose your format SD, HD, Full HD or 4K. Tap Preview Movie to see your progress or the final version.

Just for fun tap the AR button to Record a super realistic video or photo in AR (iPhone and iPad only).

Augmented Reality (AR)

AR (iPhone and iPad only) provide an exciting way to shoot movies and videos of your 3D scenes with super realistic backgrounds and lighting.

With AR, the scene's environment is replaced with your real environment by the camera on your iPhone or iPad letting you see your Movie Maker 3D scenes in the real world.

Simply tap the AR button to:

  • Explore a virtual campsite scene placed on your real desk.

  • Show avatars in your actual kitchen.

  • Place a virtual backyard scene with the swimming pool, grill and toys in your own real yard.

  • Place a virtual concert stage scene including avatar actors, picnic tables and seats on the real grass in your local park.

  • Add a virtual castle scene with dragons and flags to your favorite real woodland.

COLLABORATION & SYNC

Invite anyone to collaborate with you to make movies and videos. Any of your Movie Maker 3D projects can be shared privately and securely with your friends via iCloud.

Everyone to whom you give permission can design and customize scenes by animating 3D models, creating and adding their own avatars, recording dialog and shooting video scenes.

The group's work is shared via iCloud to participants devices in realtime so editing and creativity can happen fast. Conflicts can happen - first come, first served.

For longevity, privacy and security Movie Maker 3D syncs and shares across your iPhones, iPads and Macs and is designed for both online and offline use.

Movie & Video sharing

Share your Movie Maker 3D animated movies, videos and still images via Mail, Messages, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media.

You can also use collaboration to share read-only links to your Movie Maker 3D project to provide other people with access to all the scenes, stories and movies in your project.
